Brands must follow current Good Manufacturing Practices and allow random product testing at any time to verify that what's on the label matches what's in the bottle.
Certification isn't permanent. Every product must be re-evaluated on a rolling cycle. Formula changes trigger a full re-submission. There's no coasting on old approvals.
The restricted and unacceptable ingredient lists are reviewed annually and updated as new peer-reviewed evidence emerges on chemical safety and human health impact.

A curated starting point. Every product below has been independently certified free from chemicals of concern.
The average person uses 9 personal care products a day, containing 126 unique chemical ingredients. Most have never been independently safety tested. We think that's unacceptable — and fixable.
The Without List exists because finding products that are actually safe shouldn't require a chemistry degree. We've done the filtering. Every product here has passed a rigorous independent certification process — the toughest standard we could find.
We only list independently certified products. That's our one rule. No exceptions for brands we like, no workarounds for products that are "mostly" clean.
We lead with what's absent. "Free from PFAS" tells you more than "natural" or "clean" ever could. We speak plainly about what these products don't contain.
